I bought a Craig gazebo through eBay last month. The bag was torn when I opened the box.
That was not so important but when I erected the gazebo I noticed that the gazebo top was stained and several side panels were grubby. The top end of one of the legs was bent so that the rubber cover would not fit properly. IT WAS NOT NEW. I complained to Mytopia and was offered a partial refund and keep the gazebo.
The partial refund was less than the difference between what I paid and what was offered on another website so I asked for a higher refund. Mytopia sent me two replies saying that they would refer the matter to their technical department. I tried to phone three times and asked for the person on the email but had no response. I then contacted eBay and they offered a return but the item was too big and heavy for either me or the Post Office to handle so I sold it and received less than I paid so I asked for the difference.
Had I returned the item via courier it would have cost far more than the difference I asked for but Ebay decided not to refund any money, closed the complaint and deleted my feedback. Mytopia has still not returned my call.
